SheetLabels.com is Now The Official Label Provider of the Adirondack Craft Beverage Initiative!
SheetLabels.com is now "The Official Label Provider of the Adirondack Craft Beverage Initiative!"
The Adirondack Craft Beverage Initiative is a new program to promote tourism to the Upstate NY area, and specifically to businesses that are part of the NY Craft Beverage Industry.
The Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail runs through Warren, Washington, Essex, and Saratoga counties and includes 23 craft beverage producers (up from 6 a year ago). The program is a joint effort between Empire State Development (ESD) and The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce (ARCC).
The Empire State Development Group has a program in place called the “Craft Beverage Industry Tourism Promotion”, which has given the ARCC a grant for $168,300 to promote the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail in order to help boost tourism to the region.
New Site & App
The money from the ESD is going to be used by the ARCC to create 40k copies of the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail brochure, and also to create a new website and mobile app for the Craft Beverage Trail.
The new website that is being developed will include an interactive map and it is expected to go live around Memorial Day weekend. The app is also currently being developed and that is on schedule to go live around 4th of July weekend. The app will report location and notifications will be sent whenever a user is in the vicinity of the beverage trail.
The breweries and distilleries along the Adirondack Craft Beverage Trail have already seen an impact due to the promotion of the Craft Beverage Trail just over the last year, and now with the additional funding from the State, they are expecting it to make even more of an impact.
The Adirondack Regional Chamber of Commerce President and said that the local chamber is working with other regional chambers in the region to cross promote the beverage trail.
The Adirondacks have always been a popular vacation spot, but now it is becoming a nice destination for fans of craft beers, distilled beverages, and wine. Visitors that come up for the Craft Beverage Trail have plenty to see in the area. The trail maps also make it an interactive trip for them since there are spots on the map to collect stamps from each location that they visit.
Boost to State & Local Economy
“The craft beverage industry is really the next frontier for developing tourism in this region” the director of development for Empire State Development Sam Filler stated.
He also stated that the craft brewing industry provides 3.5 billion dollars to the NY state economy every year, and the state wine industry brings in around 4.8 billion dollars. Together, the beer and wine industry is generating approximately $1 billion in tourism funds for NY State, and attracts around 10 million visitors each year.
