Popular Label Materials Used for Cleaning Supply Bottles
Cleaning supply bottles are usually oddly shaped for easy and convenient storage and handling, which means that custom printed labels are a necessity for the success of your business and the safety of your customers. Labels must fit each bottle properly, be of good quality, and must be large enough to list a heavy amount of information.
The information listed on chemical supply labels is incredibly important to the safety of your clients, so it’s essential that your labels stay put and don’t fade away even after heavy use. Whether your company labels items that contain hazardous materials or products that need to be OSHA or FDA compliant, labels of various shapes and sizes are available to ensure that your labels are made with durable, long-lasting materials.
White and Silver BOPP Labels
Effective cleaning supply labels must be made of specific materials such as BOPP, which is a matte finish label made with Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene. These heavy-duty labels are designed to be oil, moisture and water-resistant making them the perfect label material for cleaning supplies where products are more likely to leak from the bottle.
A popular type of BOPP label is called white BOPP, which is made of a plastic film. These custom printed labels have a matte or glossy finish. Silver BOPP labels have the same oil, moisture, and water-resistant properties as white, but they have the look of shiny chrome.
White Polyester Weatherproof
Another important factor to consider when purchasing labels for your cleaning supply bottles is whether or not the labeling products are completely weatherproof. You have an important label on your bottles for a reason, so it’s very important that the label stays put.
White polyester weatherproof (XW) labels are everything you could hope for in an all-purpose label. They’re weatherproof, which is a must, but they’re also moisture, tear, and temperature-resistant. Since these labels hold up so well, they’re also recommended for use with cans, bottles, and even clothing apparel. Better yet, XW labels offer a nice satin finish so your labels are both attractive and durable.
XW labels are available as sheets or individual cut-to-size labels. They offer laser and offset printer compatibilities.
White Gloss Polyester Weatherproof
Similar to the XW labels, white gloss polyester weatherproof (GXW) labels are excellent for outdoor use, making them a great choice for your product bottles that need to hold up against moisture. These permanent labels are strong and durable, but they also look great with their shiny appearance.
Like the XW brand, these custom printed labels are available as sheets or individual cut-to-size labels. They also offer laser and offset printer compatibilities. The XW and GXW are both excellent brands of labels—you just need to decide which look you prefer!
Make Your Labels Last
According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), product users should be able to clearly identify the ingredients used in the making of the product and the potential hazards associated with using the product. Hazardous materials must include a Hazardous Materials Identification System (HMIS) to inform users of any health, environmental, or physical hazards of the product.
Cleaning supply labels are incredibly important from a safety standpoint. People need to know how to properly use, store, and dispose of a cleaning product. They need to know of any special warnings or instructions they should follow. For this reason, it is very important that your labels be made to last. When you choose label products made out of the finest materials, you won’t regret it!
